Remedial work can include re-forming the pipe if necessary and then installing the patch liner.
Pitch fibre drainage pipes were introduced in the 1940s and have an estimated 40 year life expectancy. In severe cases they can collapse blocking the drain run. Using specialist equipment we are able to insert a rerounding pig attached to a winch and reform these pipes, which allows us to install a structural liner strengthening the original pipe.
Repairs to below ground drainage are a specialist job. Should a section of pipework be found damaged beyond repair, our technicians can locate the fault, excavate down onto the pipework and cut away damaged sections, connecting the new installation onto the existing drainage system
